Aim a meaningful cast.

The gold trajectory and landing ripple are the actual cast. Drag on the water to set an aim, then release. Precision controls also let you set power and loft. A higher or longer throw is a placement choice, not an automatic better catch. Once the tackle lands, steer the hook into a useful depth and let wildlife investigate. You can cancel an aiming preview without spending bait. Permanent rod ranks improve reach, strength and depth; a powerful catch also needs a suitable line and reel.
