Field notes

Each region keeps its wild individuals and seabed finds. Rejoining does not generate a fresh set. Recruitment and migrations bring visitors over active time, while catches and activity affect the local population. Watch the region forecast for day phases, weather and feeding frenzies. Some visitors need special conditions. Sonar still controls what you can identify; the forecast does not reveal an unknown fish’s hidden species.

Try it

Step 1: Read the region’s current conditions and next event.
Step 2: Explore a feeding patch or migration route with suitable tackle.
Step 3: Return later as the habitat develops; avoid repeatedly leaving to reroll.
